Using Google Adwords to Generate Traffic

Google Adwords is the quickest way to generate traffic to your product or website and see if potential is there or not. Using Google adwords, depending on the number of keywords, you could theoretically get hundreds of visitors to your site in the matter of hours to days.  Again that's going to be dependent on the quality of your add and the number of terms you are bidding on.

So the first step here is obvious.  Set up a website with either an affiliate product or your own product.  Make sure the site is linked properly and you have non of those dread page 404 errors popping up on your screens.  This shouldn't be a massive webpage especially if you are just starting out.  A couple different landing pages and about me page which should probably have a picture of yourself as well as truthful contact information.  Would you purchase from a site that the contact information was bogus on?

Next is to start constructing your adds after the website is up.   The best way to get ideas for this is to search for the terms you intend to bid and see who is advertising for that term and what they are displaying.  Pick the one that you might click on the most.

Couple suggestions though.  You should capitalize the first letter of each word in the ad as well as keep it to one thought per line.  Using punctuation is also a good thing since it will draw attention to your add since it will be something different.  Don't go over board with that last suggestion though.  There are also several tools available that will give you precise insight into who is running what adds on which sites.  One of these is keyword spy, but there are many others out there.

Once you feel you have everything in order it is a must that you set real financial constraints for google to follow.  The most important being the amount you are willing to spend a day.  It is more important to spend more on clicks and make sure your ads are seen than to bid 20 cents on an add and it never shows up if you have set everything up correctly you could expect to convert at pretty high rate as long as you have selected some strong buyer keywords to bid on.
